The six-member ensemble, featuring Sophia Laforteza, will be in the Philippines from September 17 to 19 as part of their Asian tour. Sophia, daughter of singer-actress Carla Guevara-Laforteza, shared her excitement about the trip in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
“We’re really looking forward to coming to the Philippines. We’ve been waiting for this moment,” Sophia revealed. “I told the girls that our fans will be harmonizing to our songs.”
Sharing Filipino Cuisine with Bandmates
Sophia also plans to introduce her bandmates, who come from the United States, South Korea, and Switzerland, to Filipino cuisine. “We’re going to have lechon, sinigang, adobo, halo-halo, taho, and even balut. We’re excited to try everything!” she said.
KATSEYE’s Rise to Fame
Managed by South Korean entertainment giant HYBE and American label Geffen Records, KATSEYE was formed through the talent competition program “The Debut: Dream Academy.” They made their debut in June with the single “Debut” from their first extended play (EP) “SIS (Soft IS Strong),” which was officially released in August.
