MANILA — Actor-producer Jericho Rosales isn’t fazed by the influx of new talent in the entertainment industry. After a six-year break, Rosales is returning to acting with a renewed emphasis on collaboration and sustaining the industry for the long term.
Jericho Rosales on Competition
Set to star as Tyrone De Vera in the upcoming series “Lavender Fields” alongside Jodi Sta. Maria and Janine Gutierrez, Rosales discussed his approach to competition in the industry.
“I approach competition differently,” Rosales said. “I always appreciate seeing new faces and working with new people. If I sense a highly competitive vibe or if someone views me as a rival, I might just say, ‘No thanks.’ I’m more interested in collaborating with people I genuinely want to work with.”
A Focus on Endurance and Contribution
Rosales highlighted that the entertainment industry isn’t just for those starting out but for those who are committed to lasting and contributing meaningfully.
“Seriously, this isn’t just an industry for newcomers. It’s a space for those with the mindset to endure because, above all, you need to offer something valuable to the industry. It’s about giving, not just receiving,” he explained. “As artists, we want recognition and visibility. But this industry rewards those who are willing to give back, who value relationships, and who are authentic. Those are the ones who last.”

Jericho Rosales’ Exciting Comeback
Expressing his excitement, Rosales said, “I’m fully back and ready to take on projects.”
“Lavender Fields,” marking Rosales’ return to television, is set to air in September. The series is eagerly awaited, not just for Rosales’ comeback, but also for its impressive cast and gripping storyline. Fans are excited to see Rosales bring his depth and experience to the role of Tyrone De Vera.
