Jericho Rosales is set to return to Philippine television after a six-year hiatus, marking a new phase in his career built on collaboration, consistency, and long-term growth.
The veteran actor headlines ABS-CBN and Dreamscape Entertainment’s drama-thriller Lavender Fields, playing a dual role as Arthur Pelaez and Tyrone De Vera, a man leading a double life who becomes entangled with both Jasmin (played by Jodi Sta. Maria) and his wife Iris (played by Janine Gutierrez). The series marks his first major TV project since 2018’s Halik, and premiered on Netflix and iWantTFC ahead of its September 2 broadcast on ABS-CBN.
Rosales has described this period as one where he prioritizes collaboration and creative alignment over individual performance. He has also spoken about being open to working with newer actors, describing them as collaborators who bring fresh energy into the industry.
Speaking about his character, Rosales said the complexity of playing two identities pushed him outside his comfort zone. “When you feel scared because you haven’t done something, for me that’s when you will start growing, and my character has shown me a lot of moments and instances which made me say I haven’t done this before,” he said, adding that the role required close collaboration with the show’s director and writers throughout the shoot.
To sustain a career spanning nearly three decades, Rosales has emphasized discipline and continuous learning, encouraging younger actors to study their craft and remain committed to improvement. He has also spoken about prioritizing physical and mental well-being as part of staying consistent in the industry.
