Huawei has launched the MatePad 12 X in the Philippines, introducing a tablet designed for productivity and everyday use.
Priced at ₱37,999, the device is now available through Huawei’s official online store, Experience Stores nationwide, and major e-commerce platforms such as Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop. Its release comes as demand grows for portable devices that can support both work and study.

The MatePad 12 X features a 12-inch PaperMatte display with a 2.8K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen is designed to reduce glare, making it more comfortable for reading, writing, and drawing over long periods.
The tablet is powered by a Kirin chipset and comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It supports multitasking, document editing, and light creative work. Huawei also includes WPS Office with a desktop-style interface, allowing users to work on files in a more familiar format.

It measures around 5.9mm in thickness and weighs about 555 grams, making it easy to carry for daily use. The device is equipped with a 10,100mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging, offering a practical balance between battery life and convenience.
The MatePad 12 X is often bundled with a magnetic keyboard and the M-Pencil Pro stylus. These accessories allow users to type, write, and draw more efficiently, making the device suitable for students, professionals, and creators.

In the Philippine market, the tablet enters a competitive segment where devices are increasingly used as laptop alternatives. Its strength lies in portability, display comfort, and bundled tools, rather than high-end computing power.
For many users, the key factor is how well the device fits into daily routines. The MatePad 12 X offers a balanced set of features at its price point, but its value depends on individual needs and app preferences.
