For travelers planning a trip to Subic Bay, Zoobic Safari is one of the most accessible wildlife attractions in the Philippines. Located within the Ilanin Forest inside the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, the park covers around 25 hectares and offers a mix of animal encounters, outdoor activities, and cultural experiences. It is especially popular among families and visitors looking for a short escape from Metro Manila.

The main highlight of Zoobic Safari is the Tiger Safari, known as the only tiger safari experience in the Philippines. Visitors ride inside a secured jeep that enters a controlled enclosure where Bengal tigers move freely. During feeding sessions, the tigers may approach or climb onto the vehicle under staff supervision. This creates a closer viewing experience compared to traditional zoos, where animals are usually seen from a distance.
Another well-known attraction is Croco Loco. This area features a steel walkway built above a large crocodile enclosure. Visitors can walk across safely and join feeding activities using a controlled setup. The design allows interaction while maintaining a clear safety distance.

In addition to these attractions, the park includes several zones that can be explored within 2.5 to 5 hours. Zoobic Park functions as a petting zoo, where visitors can see animals such as deer, ostriches, and albino carabaos in open-style enclosures. The Serpentarium displays reptiles including pythons and monitor lizards. The Savannah ride offers a guided tram experience through an area with grazing animals such as wild boars and potbelly pigs.
The Aetas Trail provides cultural context by presenting elements of the indigenous Aeta community, including traditional houses. On selected Saturdays during certain months, Zoobic Safari also offers a Night Safari program. This includes nocturnal animal viewing, fire performances, and themed dining activities.

A common question among travelers is whether Zoobic Safari is worth visiting. The answer depends on expectations. Visitors who are interested in close and interactive animal encounters, especially with large predators, are more likely to find the experience memorable. Those expecting a modern zoo with a wide variety of species may find the park more simple and activity-focused.
From a practical point of view, the park is open daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with last admission usually at 2:00 PM. Ticket prices are around ₱895 for adults and ₱595 to ₱795 for children. Children below 3 feet in height can enter for free. An environmental fee is collected separately, and some activities such as animal feeding or zipline rides require additional payment. Booking tickets online in advance may help reduce the total cost.

Zoobic Safari is easy to reach from Metro Manila. The drive takes about two hours via NLEX and SCTEX. Public transportation is also available, with buses traveling to Olongapo City. From there, visitors can take a taxi or tricycle to the park, which usually takes around 20 minutes.
For a better experience, it is recommended to visit during the dry season from November to May. Arriving early in the morning can help avoid crowds and improve the chances of seeing active animals. Since exploring the park can take several hours, wearing comfortable clothing and bringing water is advisable.
Compared with other attractions in Subic Bay, Zoobic Safari focuses more on interaction than passive viewing. It may not be the most modern facility, but it offers a distinct experience that continues to attract both local and international visitors.
