MANILA – The much-awaited film *Sunshine*, starring actress-singer Maris Racal, is coming soon to Philippine cinemas after making headlines as an official entry at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) this September.
Star Magic confirmed the release through a social media announcement, showcasing the movie poster designed by Justin Besana.
Directed by Antoinette Jadaone, *Sunshine* follows the gripping story of a young gymnast who discovers she is pregnant just before the national team tryouts. While searching for a seller of illegal abortion drugs, she crosses paths with a mysterious girl who eerily speaks just like her.
Produced by ANIMA Studios in collaboration with Project 8 Projects, the film has been praised for its bold storytelling. Director Jadaone earlier shared her excitement, saying she was deeply thankful to everyone who helped bring the project to life.
